Have you ever been self-conscious about your body? Ali Baker had serious body image issues and she had plans for attacking them with lots of exercise and some unexpectedly sexy calorie-burning extracurricular activities thrown in.
Ali is a corporate accountant who owns a home in Texas. She’s decided it was high time to start living her life fully without excess weight, when she literally ran into Daniel Wells at the gym she chose to join. Daniel is handsome and apparently more of a catch than meets the eye. He’s British and lives a double life, sort of. I loved reading about both of these characters. Ali has her priorities straight and is willing to work hard for anything that she wants. Her dedication and perseverance is very admirable. Daniel is also hard working and talented, but burning the candle at both ends. He is passionate about his work, his family, and Ali.
Although they seem to be a great match, Ali and Daniel encounter some obstacles in their relationship, especially with Ali’s tenuous confidence in her newfound slimmer self. I cheered for her when she and Daniel worked together to right an injustice. Score one for the girls who were blessed with less than perfect figures!!!
Ms. Chandler’s writing is promising, with good narrative and not overly descriptive or overly telling. However, I did find it a little too perfect of a situation with the hero being so successful. I love men who have a British accent, but everything with Daniel seemed to be all that was on a checklist for the perfect man. Still, the story was a great escape for me, reading about Daniel and Ali’s passionate encounters.
Perfectly Imperfect is the bigger woman’s answer to all the good looking women who look down on them. I highly recommend this book to women who are working on getting their inner slimmer selves recognized or for those who just need a great story with some hot scenes.

I sent you an email, but I’m not sure if like me you provide “86″ email. LOL! If you send a note to me, I’ll send you a couple of graphics that show how to embed that link to your book in just a few moments. I would have offered to do it for you, but you don’t really know me, and that’s quite a request from an almost stranger.
I think have your email, so I will send you a screenshot of how to do it.
You are the sweetest thing ever! I just saw where you sent me this last message. In the meantime, I figured out how to show a link to my page on the publisher’s website. I will jump over to my email and see what you sent in case it is different from what I did. Again, it is really so nice of you to offer me help. Slowly by surely, I’m learning more tricks!
Joan, I’m so glad for you!
Now you need a link to the purchase page! Two links on this page would be even better. One when the cover of your book is clicked, and another one somewhere else, and preferably highlighted in red. : D Yes, I’m a control freak. LOL!
You are also way smarter than I am on a computer! I can develop a mean macro and format a 40 page budget book, but this blogging stuff is so new to me. I will have to google what you said. But on the other hand, even though obviously I want to get the word out about my book, I am trying to walk that fine line between sharing my enthusiasm and pimping it out – LOL! It’s been such an exciting week, though. Thank you so much for the good wishes. It means so much to have everyone’s support!
You are on your way. The sky is the limit. I think a lot of people will be able to relate to this theme, whether or not their issue concerns their weight. I see it being a confidence booster, and hopefully inspiring women to see the beautiful person that is inside each of them. If we all would remind ourselves daily of the positive qualities we possess, we can’t help but shine. As our confidence increases, so does our attractiveness to others. Good luck!
Thank you so much, Kate. You’ve always been one of my loudest “cheerleaders”! I really appreciate the support!
