At last, No Regrets is available for Pre-Order through BookStrand Publishing.  It seems like it’s been forever, since I literally started writing it twenty years ago.  So I have definitely taken up residence on Cloud Nine this week, to realize it’s finally being published.

But my entertainment this week has been to hear friends weigh in on who they think the man on the cover looks like.  At the time I began writing No Regrets, I had no one in particular in mind.  Over time, my main critique partner (Kate Patrick) and another trusted friend in Ohio asked me who they should picture in their minds as they read it.  Although it’s not a show I normally watch (although I do catch reruns in the middle of the night sometimes!), the image of James Scott of Days of Our Lives just seemed to be the perfect fit  (he plays E J DiMeara) for my Robert Douglas.

When I eventually received the artwork (beautifully done by Jinger Heaston, for BookStrand Publishing), I was so excited and thrilled with it that I immediately began showing it to my family and friends.

I have gotten a kick out of some of the first impressions from some of those people.

For the ones in my innermost circle who knew the actor I’d compared Robert to, they all agreed Jinger had done a really good job of creating a close resemblance to Mr. Scott.

One person’s first thought was that he looked like Taylor Lautner.  (Definitely NEVER on my radar as I’m team Edward all the way when it comes to the Twilight books!).  But I have to admit, I can sort of see what she was talking about.  He does have a little bit of smolder now that he isn’t so young!

But the overwhelming majority of people suggest someone I never thought of for the hero of No Regrets.  It’s not that I don’t think he’s totally hot, because I do!  But by coincidence, when I read the 50 Shades trilogy, this is who I always pictured in my mind as Christian Grey.  But I have to say, he really does remind me of the guy on my cover.  It’s Adam Levine.

So, you’ve heard what other people are saying.  Now, who do YOU think?
